A Case of Pregnancy by Peritoneal Oocyte and Sperm Transfer (POST)

Abstract

|
Because of higher success rate, gamete intrafallopian transfer(GIFT) has been a preferred method to vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF & ET) in the treatment of infertile patients with a patent tube. But, for GIFT, patient should be
admitted
and an operative procedure such as laparoscopy under general anesthesia shoud be performed, which are physical and economic burdens to patient. Peritoneal oocyte and sperm transfer (POST), which can be performed as an outpatient procedure, has
become a
good alternative to GIFT.
We report a case of pregnancy induced by POST with a brief review of literatures.
